RI seeks part-time Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach:
Job responsibilities will be varied and may involve: facilitating groups and classes, helping people access community resources, health and treatment options. Our staff work out of our location near Westnedge and Vine in addition to a variety of other environments, such as medical clinics, hospitals, courts, and general community settings.
The Recovery Institute is a peer-driven non-profit agency that promotes individual recovery for mental health and addiction concerns. All applicants must be diversity minded with excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to demonstrating their experience in guidance, support and mentoring responsibilities. Most importantly, applicants must be recognized and accepted as peers who have had personal experience navigating the public mental health and or addiction treatment and recovery systems. Preference will be given to individuals who meet both Certified Peer Support Specialist and Certified Recovery Coaching criteria.
Individuals shall meet credentialing requirements, possess a valid and current driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to obtain a chauffeur’s license is necessary.

Candidates must be willing and able to self-identify as a person who has or is receiving mental health services and is prepared to use that experience in helping others.
